Who Would You Be?
Yeah, we know Superman needs to save Lois time and time again, but it gets a bit tired after a while. We like women who can kick ass and even surprise the male heroes. Look at his face when he sees who and what has his back! Yeah, Blue, it’s a woman who does not need you to shield her from danger.
As a woman who can physically kick ass, I say I’d rather be a kick ass super heroine instead of a damsel in distress. I’d rather show a guyt hat I can take care of myself and not need to be rescued. If that’s too independent for some people, then tough! Don’t get me wrong, I still appreciate chivalry in a man - like being carried across a puddle of muddy water when I can jump across it. I think that just shows how thoughtful and well-mannered a gentleman can be. And maybe he was also showing off how strong he is. But if we were in the midst of trouble, I would want to be able to help than hinder.
